Comprehensive Asbestos surveys
With a wealth of experience and knowledge within the asbestos surveying industry, we are well placed to provide you with comprehensive asbestos surveys. All our asbestos surveyors have a minimum of 10 years’ working within the asbestos field and are fully licenced and qualified.
All surveys are carried out in accordance with HSG264 The Survey Guide and structured so they are clear and easy to understand. We email them to clients in a PDF format.
We offer a number of different types of asbestos surveys including;
- Non-intrusive asbestos survey – these types of survey are non-intrusive to the fabric of the property, so the property can be unoccupied or occupied. It is undertaken to determine, so far as it is reasonably practical, the full extent of asbestos-containing materials within a building.
- Fully intrusive survey – otherwise known as pre-refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys. These surveys are more invasive and can only be carried out on vacant properties prior to major refurbishment or demolition works taking place. The fabric of the property is damaged to enable our asbestos surveyors to locate all asbestos containing materials, so far as it is reasonably practical.
Once the survey is completed the product type, condition, surface treatment, asbestos type and extent can then be detailed. The survey includes photographs of sampled and suspect asbestos-containing materials, property plans, material risk assessment and recommendations for removing all asbestos and associated contaminated materials.
